Talent Yearbook:
The bulk of the first half of my internship was taken up by finishing/creating my department's third quarter 2012 talent yearbook. The quarterly yearbook is an internal document handed out to senior executives. The purpose of this document is to showcase the shows/talent that are most popular, airing/premiering in that quarter, or recently announced as a new show. The 3Q2012 highlights:
HINT: By "talent" I am referring to all of the individuals who are featured on Discovery Communications' TV shows. Being a non fiction media company, Discovery films individuals in their day-to-day lives. They are not actresses/actors since the television programming is unscripted.
WARNING: The talent yearbook is an internal document that is not released to the public. It often includes talent/programming that the public may not see for months to come. In saying this, the following is a mock version of the actual document that I worked on. Below is what the cover of the yearbook looks like as well as a mock example of what a Discovery Channel page looks like. Talent/shows that I have chosen to showcase below are popular and included in every quarterly issue.
